My name is Jamie Douglas Lonie. I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on May 9, 1988 to Michael Lonie and Judy Braswell. I spent most of my life in and around Jackson, Tennessee. There I attended Madison Academic Magnet High School and graduated in 2006. I recently graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and a business administration minor.

    I recently moved to Houston, Texas to spend two years in the Teach For America program. I currently teach science lab for PK-5th grade students at Petersen Elementary School. I am also seeking a Master of Education degree at the University of St. Thomas in Houston.
